Year 3 Topic – Ancient Greece Day

To kick start our new topic “How Greek Are We?”, we will be having an Ancient Greece Day on Friday 19th April.
The day will include a range of exciting Greek-themed activities such as making our own head wreaths, creating papier-mache Greek vases and even tasting some Greek food!
The day is designed for children to step back in time and take part in traditional activities and learn more about the way of life in Ancient Greek times so to fully immerse themselves into their learning, we will be asking that they dress in ‘Ancient Greece’ style clothing for the day. Ideas for costumes are:
• Large white t-shirt, bed sheet or tunic with a belt/cord
• A character from Greek mythology
• Cardboard armour/shield.
