Year 5 Ancient Egyptian Day

As part of their new topic, “Can you walk like an Egyptian?” year 5 are having an Ancient Egyptian Day.
This will include a range of exciting Egyptian-themed activities such as designing and making an amulet, making a papyrus scroll with hieroglyphics and finding out more about the mysterious pyramids!
Children are invited to dress in ‘Ancient Egypt’ style clothing for the day. Some ideas for costumes are:
Large white t-shirt, bed sheet or tunic with a belt/cord and gold accessories
An archaeologist or explorer
A mummy!
