Black History Month

Throughout October, children across the school have been learning about and celebrating Black History Month. They have been exploring the lives of inspiring Black individuals and thinking about the values of kindness, respect and creativity.
Across the school, pupils took part in a wide range of activities — from learning about influential musicians and artists to creating their own poetry, artwork and fashion designs inspired by what they discovered. For example, some classes enjoyed exploring Stevie Wonder’s music, others wrote poems about kindness and respect and some created art inspired by artists and Jazz Music.
