Fairfields are awarded Gold for Sports and Physical Education
Celebrating Our Gold School Games Mark Award!
We are absolutely delighted to share that Fairfields Primary School has been awarded the School Games Mark Gold Award for the 2024/25 academic year!

This national award, led by the Government and launched in 2012, recognises schools that are committed to nurturing high-quality Physical Education and School Sport, both within the curriculum and as part of the wider community. It celebrates schools that go the extra mile to include all children—especially those who may not have previously had the chance to take part or represent their school in sporting activities. The aim is to ensure that every child has a positive experience and feels encouraged to explore new activities, both in school and beyond.
This year has been truly special for sport at Fairfields. From exciting fixtures and friendly festivals to high-energy competitions, it’s been a joy to see hundreds of our pupils proudly representing our school. Their enthusiasm, courage, and commitment have been truly inspiring. Alongside this, we’ve offered a variety of clubs and enrichment opportunities in PE, giving every child the chance to discover new passions and build confidence in a supportive environment.
We are so proud of every pupil who has taken part, and we are equally grateful to our wonderful colleagues whose encouragement and care help make these experiences so rewarding.
A heartfelt thank you to all parents and carers for your continued support—whether it’s cheering from the sidelines, helping with transport, or simply encouraging your child to try something new. You are a valued part of our school family, and your support makes such a difference.
We look forward to continuing this exciting journey and hope to apply for the award again in 2025/26.
Together, we move forward—celebrating every step, every effort, and every child.
