World Book Day at Fairfields

Wow! What an amazing start to World Book Day! I want to start off by saying a massive thank you to all parents for all of your hard work that’s gone into your children’s costumes, they look amazing! I also want to thank those of you that took the time to join us this morning for our ‘book breakfast’. It was a great success and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

All classes have begun participating in a range of book related activities. Pegasus class have been busy sharing stories this morning. In Aurora class, the children have been busy doing arts and crafts linked to books such as sponge painting Elmer’s print and designing aliens from Alien’s love underpants. In Luna class, the children have been busy making their very own monster/animal bookmark to take away with them. In Neptune, the children have been using the story Alice in Wonderland to inspire their art work. They have listened to a clip of the story and imagined what Alice saw as she fell down the rabbit hole. In Juno class the children have been designing their very own book cover!

I can’t wait to see what this afternoon brings!
