Parents SRE Workshop 4th June 2024

June 4 @ 3:40 pm - 4:30 pm

As part of the children’s personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education lessons, all pupils at Fairfields take part in a series of age-appropriate sex and relationship education (SRE) lessons. The purpose of SRE is to prepare pupils for the physical and emotional changes of growing up, to give them the knowledge and skills to make informed and healthy choices, to build their confidence and skills to deal with situations they may encounter, to help them to stay safe and know where and how to ask for help if needed.

As we will be teaching about SRE in the next half term, we would like to invite parents and carers to come to an open evening as an opportunity for you to speak with teachers, ask questions and see the resources we will be using in our SRE topic. This workshop is for all year groups. We would like to ask you not to take any photographs of the resources due to copyright reasons or take any of the resources home.

This event will take place on Tuesday 4th June 3.40pm – 4.30pm in the school hall. Please enter and exit through the hall fire doors at the front of the school. We respectfully ask that you do not bring your children with you as we do not want them to be exposed to different year groups’ teaching earlier than they should be.

If you are unable to attend, please speak to your child’s class teacher who will be able to share with you the information and resources after the event.

We thank you for your continued support
